Keeping Glenmore Beautiful
Sign & Flowers We hope you have noticed the newly refurbished Glenmore signs and the beautiful new plantings surrounding them.  This is part of the effort of the Common Area Review Board to maintain our community to a high standard.  Particular thanks are due to Frank Keplinger who organized the sign refurbishment, and Esther Grant who arranged the plantings.
Road Maintenance Almost Finished
Road Works The roads committee reports that road resurfacing in now complete.  Watch out this week and next for workers painting the stripes and stop bars. We expect minimal disruption to traffic.  Meanwhile, take care at unmarked junctions.  Thank you all for your patience over the last couple of weeks.
July 4th Parade
Once again the Glenmore Country Club is inviting all Glenmore residents to join the Parade annual 4th of July Parade.  Decorate bikes, cars, golf carts, walk with your patriotic pet or be creative with your red, white and blue attire!

Parade participants and volunteers will meet at the Bremerton Cottages sign at 10:30am for line up and parade down Piper Way to the Clubhouse. Please contact Dette at 817-0508 or dette@glenmorecountryclub.com for information or if you would like to volunteer.

The parade starts at 11:00 am.  Residents should note that this section of Piper Way will be closed to traffic from about 10:55 am to 11:45 am.

Just One Click! - On line Notification of Visitors
We heard from residents that it took too many steps to register your visitors on line.  So we've now made it much easier.  Once you have logged in the first time, you will automatically be recognized the next time you access the site from the same computer.  And if you check the 'remember me' box, your password will also be remembered.  So with just one click you will arrive directly at New Visitor form.  You told us - we listened!  Just follow the link on gatehouse page of our website.

ARB Representatives
House Under Construction Last month we asked for volunteers to represent the GCA on the Architectural Review Board (ARB) which approves new construction.  We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart Ferguson as our ARB representative.  He will cast the GCA's vote on approvals of all new construction and landscaping plans, and keep the GCA board informed of any potential issues.

In case of absence, we have appointed Larry Gregory as first alternate, an Jim Colbaugh as second alternate.  Our thanks to all three volunteers.

No More Trucks on the Grass
At their May meeting, the BCA Board of Directors agreed to more strictly enforce our existing ban on vehicles parking on the grass alongside Glenmore's roads.  We are seeing far too much damage to GCA property because of this. The main culprits are contractors.  If you have contractors working at your property, please tell them not to park on the grass or the walking path. When patrolling the community, Charlotte Harmon, our gatehouse manager, will require such vehicles to be moved either onto a driveway or onto the road itself.

Common Area Transfers
There are many areas of open space throughout Glenmore which are still owned by the developer, Glenmore Associates.  Some of these are designated as common area, and some as 'residue' land, meaning they are designated neither for development nor common area.  They are mostly natural areas, but do include some grassed areas already being maintained by the GCA.  The developer has agreed that about half of them may be deeded to the GCA as Common Area at this time, and the Board of Directors has agreed to proceed with the formal transfer process.   Three small parcels will be deeded jointly to the GCA and the Bremerton Cottages Association.  There will be no change to maintenance costs or operations. You may view a PDF document here showing the specific areas to be deeded.

The developer is not yet ready to transfer the remaining residue and common areas within Sections S and Q2, and around the water treatment plant, due to ongoing development work.  These will be reviewed later this year.

Storm Water Management
stormwater drain Last month we also asked for volunteers for the Storm Water Management Sub-Committee of the Common Area Review Board.   Larry Tropea, who has significant engineering experience in this area, will chair the sub-committee.  Other members are Don Sours, Dale Sullivan, and Betsy Baten.  The committee will review the condition of our existing infrastructure and coordinate maintenance.
