From the Principal FromthePrincipal

Last evening we had our end of the year Farewell Concert. Our Campus Ministries leaders and the Worship and Praise music teams presented a beautiful concert with spirit-filled worship music in our amphitheater in the woods. It was a wonderful concert and, as we have had throughout the year, the Christ-centered music pointed us to the great love God has for us. Thank you to all of our students and faculty who worked to make this happen.
We also said good-bye to the faculty and staff who are leaving us. Most of you know that Mr. Gerry Bliven, our food service director is retiring at the end of this school year. Please continue to pray for Mr. Bliven and his family as they continue to mourn the loss of Mrs. Chris Bliven.
Farewells were also said to Nick and Heidi Sigler, who are moving to Lincoln, Nebraska. Mr. Sigler will be teaching English at Collegeview Academy. Mrs. Sigler will continue her nursing career in Lincoln.
Mrs. Joely Hudson has been sharing the school nurse responsibilities with Mrs. Sigler. The Hudsons will be staying in the area, and Mrs. Hudson will be continuing her nursing career, but only working one job instead of two.
Mrs. Heather Leeper is having another child sometime soon. She has decided that taking care of three young children will best be done by staying home rather than working part-time as our assistant girls' dean.
Coach and Mrs. Fox are retiring after being part of GCA for 43 years. I'm not sure how we will function without them, but we are heartened by the fact that they are not moving away. They have both had a profound positive impact on decades of GCA students. All of these people have worked tirelessly for the students of GCA. I am grateful for the way each has demonstrated the love of God over the years at GCA.
Senior Class Trip - The seniors leave campus today for North and South Carolina. They will spend time river rafting on Friday. On Sabbath we will be in the Mt. Pisgah National Forest. Later we will visit Carowinds, and then Myrtle Beach. Their classes are done. They have finished their finals. Time for a trip!
Thank you to our freshmen, sophomore and junior students and their families. We are very thankful you have chosen to be part of GCA this year, and we will look forward to welcoming you back in August! Our freshmen and sophomores will be leaving us for the summer after their final exams next week. Juniors will stay for graduation weekend. Thanks for a great school year!

In real life every day you graduate.
Graduation is a process that goes on
until the last day of your life.
If you can grasp that, you'll make a difference.
