February 2026 Monthly Update

A Special Note from Director, Josh Hall:

Dear Reader,

As you scroll down this month’s online update, you will notice a classified ad for the Director of Grand Oak Mission Center. This is because Bro. David Jackson has announced his retirement, effective at the end of this calendar year.

Under David’s leadership, GOMC has experienced tremendous growth serving more neighbors, engaging more churches, raising more funds, and improving facilities, all while leading a renewed emphasis on evangelism. We will miss David greatly; he will be a difficult guy to replace! Nevertheless, we trust that God has a plan.

We will have an open period for the submission of resumes for GOMC Director from Feb 1-March 15. For more information, or to submit a resume, please visit gbaptist.org.

We will follow the process outlined in our bylaws to elect a new Director. Our goal is to introduce this person at the GCBA annual meeting on October 1. Our plan is for the new leader to have time to overlap with David at the end of 2026 before fully taking the reins of GOMC in 2027.

Please join us in prayer as we search for God’s person to lead Grand Oak Mission Center and please let David know how much you appreciate him!
