BOND, an approved Eversource contractor, will soon begin field tests to further the Project's engineering efforts in Cambridge. The work will take place on Broadway between Galileo Galilei Way and Third Street, on Linskey Way between Third Street and Second Street, and on Ames Street near the intersection of Amherst Street over the next several weeks. This activity is associated with ongoing efforts to increase electric reliability in your area.

Work Hours

Anticipated construction hours are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Some work may be conducted outside of these hours based on approval from the City of Cambridge.

Construction Activities

Over the next several weeks, one crew will begin test pit activities during daytime work hours at multiple locations on Broadway, Linskey Way and Ames Street.

• An Eversource contractor will mark out locations and contact DigSafe.
• An excavator and vacuum truck will dig small trenches and determine the location of existing underground utilities.
• Testing may last several weeks per location. When complete, crews will backfill and restore the excavated area.

Traffic Management

We coordinate closely with the police department and city officials to maintain a safe and effective flow of traffic around project work areas. Lane restrictions will be necessary during work hours. “No Parking” signs will be clearly posted in advance. Access to the streets, sidewalks, and buildings will be maintained.
