Poinsettia Holiday Sale

It’s that time of year again…time to plan your holiday decorations!


The Marshall PTA is pleased to announce our annual sale of holiday poinsettia plants. This year’s sale of poinsettias will support the Class of 2025. Poinsettias are available in four colors: red, pink, white, and marble.


Purchase them online for $20 each, and pick them up on Saturday, December 2, at Marshall High School.


Send the gift of a beautiful poinsettia plant to a teacher, coach, or staff member, and we will deliver it on your behalf!


Order deadline is Monday, November 6. If you order 5 or more plants, we will deliver them to your door. Questions: email the Class of 2025.

Veterans Day Field of Honor

Help honor our veterans by sponsoring flags for our bi-annual Field of Honor. GCM Community will place over 500 flags on November 9-12, 2023, for Veterans' Day. Purchase flags on MemberHub to support this community and student-led activity. This year, 20% of the flag purchases will be donated to the USO by the PTSA. Join us for the ceremony on November 9th at 9:40 a.m. Questions: Email the Field of Honor


$5 for 1 flag

$20 for 5 flags for Veterans Day

$35 for 5 flags for Veterans Day and Memorial Day.

Each sponsored flag comes with a personalized e-card to an Honoree.

Fall Candy Drive for GCM Military Youth Liaison Club

Reflection Art Contest:

Each year, the national PTA hosts a student art contest. The winners advance from the local to the national level, with scholarship awards up to $800!  This year's theme is "I am Hopeful Because...."


Students submit their individual completed works of art in one or more of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. There is a Marshall student winner for each of these 6 categories.


Submissions are due by November 3rd.

Winter Sports Tryouts!


Winter sports tryouts will take place on Nov. 6th & 7th.

*Please note that Nov 6th & 7th are student holidays, but tryouts are MANDATORY if interested in a winter sport!

Make sure to register in the rschool system and have physicals in, if not already, by Nov 3rd!

Youth Leadership Network Conference

Virginia Tech Falls Church Campus 
The future is out there, and the youth will lead it! Join us on November 11, 2023 for the Youth Leadership Network Annual Conference - hosted at Leadership Fairfax at the Virginia Tech Falls Church Campus.
Featuring training sessions and experiences for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in improving their leadership skills, building stronger communities, and creating a more equitable future. Collaborators can sponsor an experience, facilitate training sessions, and engage in various ways to help support the development of the leaders of the metaverse.
Register HERE. If money is a barrier to a teen wanting to attend this conference, please have them reach out individually to the closest NCS community/teen center to help them register for the conference.

Wine Tasting Class

Viva La France! French Wine Tasting Class


Explore the greatest wine region of France. Reserve your seat for a fun evening tasting five French wines, including one sparkling, two whites, and two reds. Limited to 50 attendees. $20 per person. Must purchase a ticket by Sunday, November 5th.


When: Wednesday, November 8th, 6-8 pm


Where: Total Wine & More, 1451 Chain Bridge Rd, McLean


Who: Anyone 21 or older is welcome to attend. No need to be a Marshall parent.
