We will gather over Zoom to celebrate the Last Supper where we will remember this Holy Meal, the betrayal of Jesus, and the painful events that were to come.  Please note: This service honors the ancient story of Jesus’ death while recognizing the ways this narrative repeats itself again and again throughout the past and present. There will be reflections on statements from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, which chillingly keeps records of the last words of executed offenders. We encourage all families to participate as feels appropriate for the ages of your

GCPC Still Growing
Greetings and a round of applause to the many gardeners who were able to make last minute adjustments in their schedule to accommodate the weather and help get hundreds of baby Swiss Chard, Collards, Kale, Chinese and regular head cabbage in the ground on Wednesday, March 24.

Jim M. squeezed in a last minute tilling of all beds on Tuesday morning, Rick P transported 22 flats of plants from First Step and Richard C, Chris P and Mary B wrestled with hundreds of feet of tangled irrigation tape to ensure that tapes were laid out and secured in all beds where plants were to be placed.
Gardeners who dug holes, placed, watered and covered all those plants included some of the above plus Ellen F, Julie H, John C, Bryant Smith and his friend, Jared, Louise R, Terri M, Betsy W, Ann R and Judy M.

And of course, within just 24 hours another 1.5 or more inches of rain had fallen.
Kudos and thanks to all who helped!
