"As the concept of bottom line impact expands from 3P People, Planet, Profit to 5P People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership, organizations realize that inclusivity is the road to sustainable growth for greater good of society. The unique value proposition of GDIB is that it provides comprehensive checklists which promote line of sight between operational procedures and the organization’s sustainability."

"WE'VE LEARNED WHAT WORKS"
-GDIB BEST PRACTICES-
MAINTAINING DIVERSITY CLIMATE CAN NOW BE MEASURED WITH FREE DIVERSITY CLIMATE ASSESSMENT FROM UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH
This article was provided by Nouran Sakr and Leanne Son Hing, colleagues of GDEIB Expert Panellist, Thomas Sasso at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Diversity and inclusion have become increasingly important issues for organizations. Unfortunately, having minority representation and diversity-related policies are not enough on their own to foster a positive work environment. Organizations also need to maintain a positive “diversity climate.”

Diversity climate captures employees’ subjective experiences of their organization that are related to diversity or to employees belonging to equity-seeking groups. For example, diversity climate can include perceptions of whether equity-seeking groups are represented across all organizational levels and areas, socially included, valued for their input, treated fairly, and not discriminated against.

To date, in the scientific literature, definitions of diversity climate have been inconsistent and none of the existing measures have undergone systematic validation efforts, which is the gold standard for scales. We sought to remedy these challenges.
