SVSU GEAR UP and other GEAR UP programs throughout Michigan have exciting summer academic opportunities for high school youth. All programs are free for GEAR UP youth at Arthur Hill High, Bridgeport High, and Saginaw High schools! Please click on any (or all) of the programs below to see more information and to RSVP.

High School students currently in grades 9-11 can enjoy a 3-day (2 nights) free summer residential camp filled with academic enrichment, recreational activities, and college-life experiences.

Camp #1: July 24-26, 2023.

Camp #2: July 26-28, 2023.

RSVP deadline for camps: June 1, 2023

High school students currently in grades 9-11 can enjoy a 3-day (2 nights) free summer residential STEM experience at Wayne State University in Detroit. The focus of the camp is drone programming.

Camp Date: June 21-23, 2023.

RSVP deadline: May 19, 2023.

High school students currently in grades 9-11 can enjoy a week-long hands-on exploration of college and career opportunities. Class sessions focus on business, humanities, law and STEM, as well as recreational activities.

Camp Date: June 25-30, 2023 (Specifically for SVSU GEAR UP Youth)
