Attend weekly 'Coffee Hours': Meet international students and scholars and connect with others who share global interests
Hosted by the Office for International Students and Scholars, "Coffee Hour" is a free event where students, staff, faculty, and community members gather to connect over coffee every Friday from 4-6pm. Different hosts offer educational programs, information on how to get involved on campus, and fun activities that change throughout the year. 

The location will be in the Spartan Rooms B&C, located inside the International Center food court.

MSU launches 'Peace Corps Prep' certificate
Peace Corps Prep Program Launch

Peace Corps Prep is a certificate program available to undergraduate students interested in serving as Peace Corps Volunteers or elsewhere within the international development and service communities. This initiative builds on MSU’s long and successful history of Peace Corps partnerships.

Students, advisors, faculty, staff, and RPCVs are all welcome to join us at the official launch of the new Peace Corps Prep program at MSU on Tuesday, November 16 from 4:00-5:00pm in Room 303 of the International Center.

Free virtual exchange conference Nov 15-19
This conference will appeal to students and faculty considering various dimensions of virtual (or in-person) exchanges. Sessions include:

"Creating accountability towards difference in online settings: a decolonial perspective" (workshop)

"What can virtual exchanges look like?" (case studies)

A cosmodynamics class titled "how to bring the body to the online space?"

I would be a social worker and work with children.

I can speak French fluently.

What are your hobbies?
I love to run and watch "The Bachelorette."

Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Joining GECP has given me the opportunity to meet my closest friend. Hopefully we can study abroad together this summer in Germany, France, Belgium, and The Netherlands.

Share your Study Abroad Experience @ MSU's Learning Abroad Conference: "Co-sponsored by the Office for Education Abroad and the Office for International Students and Scholars, the Annual MSU Learning Abroad Conference (LAC) features presentations from students returned from international learning experiences and international students currently studying abroad here in East Lansing. The conference will take place March 18, 2022. Proposals to present are due December 10, 2021." Learn more at the conference website.

Missing a water bottle? Two very nice water bottles were found at the Oct 7 GECP welcome event. Terry Yuncker in the TE department (room 313) is holding onto them. You can pick them up any weekday 7am-4pm.
