Communities receive financing for environmental infrastructure projects

GEFA Water 101 Webinar Series

GEFA is hosting a free three-part webinar series for Georgia communities interested in learning about BIL. Attendees will learn more about the federal requirements of the State Revolving Fund, lead service line inventory and replacement, and financing emerging contaminant projects. Read more

The following staff received 2022 Faithful Service Awards for their dedication to serving the state of Georgia.


  • 15 years - Jenerrah Byron and Margie Walker-White
  • 30 years - Charlotte Banks


Amanda Carroll, senior project manager, received the GEFA Performance Award. The award recognizes exemplary performance by an individual who consistently excels in their work, demonstrates integrity, and has a strong commitment to GEFA's mission and values.

Q: How long have you worked for GEFA?

A: I have worked at GEFA for almost two years.


Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up in Ethiopia, India, and Maryland.


Q: Where did you go to school?

A: Georgia State University. Go Panthers!


Q: What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

A: My favorite movie is The Notebook and my favorite TV show is Friends.


Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: I would travel to Seychelles.


Q: What is something that most people do not know about you?

A: I have visited 20 countries and more than 40 cities.
