Governor's Water Supply Program makes major water
supply projects reality
January 2011, Gov. Nathan Deal launched the Governor's Water Supply Program (GWSP) to secure water supply resources and to help tackle key water supply challenges. The GWSP financed a variety of projects, including reservoirs, water supply wells, deep aquifer well research, and agriculture irrigation metering.

Communities receive financing for environmental infrastructure projects  
The GEFA board of directors awarded $84 million to 21 communities for water, wastewater, and sewer infrastructure improvements during its August meeting held in Atlanta.   Read more

Georgia technical colleges to participate in Solar for Schools Program  
Ogeechee Technical College and Southern Crescent Technical College received $113,000 in grant funds for students to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the solar industry.   Read more

State Revolving Fund solicitation period now open 
The solicitation period for 2019 Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) projects is open through December 31, 2018. GEFA updated the affordability criteria to provide principal forgiveness to communities most in need of financial assistance. Project readiness will remain an important factor in project scoring.   Read more
