Q: How long have you worked for GEFA?
A: I started working at GEFA in November 2006 to December 2017. I returned in September 2022.
Q: What do you do for GEFA?
A: In the Water Resources Division, I lead a dynamic group of water professionals by supporting the systems and reporting team. Our work includes managing the DWSRF Lead Service Line Program loans and grants, handling internal and external reporting, maintaining and improving operational systems, updating SOPs, developing loans, and managing third-party invoicing, and so much more.
Q: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekends?
A: On the weekends you will find me unloading my tent and chairs at a softball game or tournament wearing a t-shirt that says "Kharli's Mom #6" on the back.
Q: What is something that most people don't know about you?
A: Most people know I'm an avid reader, but only a few know that I've authored two unpublished books. I also journal every day, which helps me reflect and stay grounded. My hope is that someday my great-grand children and other family members will get to know me through my writing and remember me because of it.
Q: Are you a sports fan? If so, what team(s) do you pull for?
A: Yes, I'm definitely a sports fan! The Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys have my heart, and I'll cheer for any team Jalen Hurts joins. Game day is always my kind of day!
Q: What is your most used emoji?
A: Prayer hands because 1 Thessalonians 5:15 says, "Pray without ceasing."
