Disbursement

What to know about Disbursement:

  • Disbursement does not mean refund.
  • Disbursement is when your financial aid funds are applied to your LCCC account balance for any costs you have accrued, such as tuition and fees for classes, room and board charges for the Residence Hall, and bookstore charges, if you used your financial aid overage to charge your books.
  • This occurs after the semester has started, and after the drop deadline has passed.
  • The first financial aid disbursement for Spring 2024 is scheduled for January 30. On this date, LCCC will apply your financial aid funds to the balance that you owe.

Refunds

After your balance has been paid with your accepted financial aid via the disbursement process, you will be issued a refund for any financial aid funds you have remaining. This takes place several days after disbursement. The first refund date for Spring 2024 is February 2.

It is highly recommended that you opt-in to receive your refund via Direct Deposit. You can do that by entering your banking information in the Self-Service app in your myLCCC account.

If the banking information listed in your account is incorrect or you need assistance with your banking information, email [email protected].

If you do not sign up for direct Deposit, your refund check will be mailed to the current/preferred mailing address that LCCC has on file for you.

Disbursement and refunds are ongoing throughout the semester. If you have financial aid awards that come in later, or have later starting classes, you may have later or additional disbursements and refunds of your financial aid.

Getting Started for Spring 2024

Canvas - Your Online Learning Environment

Your classes will show up in Canvas starting on the first day of the semester.

They might show up first thing in the morning, or it might be later in the day - it depends on your instructor.

If you don't see all of your classes in Canvas right away on the first day, but you can see them on your class schedule in Navigate, then don't panic - you are still registered, they just haven't been published in Canvas yet.

Viewing Your Class Schedule & Finding Your Classes

You can see your Spring 2024 schedule, including class locations, days, and times, and dates in the Navigate Student app in your myLCCC account.

Look carefully - you might have short courses that start later or end earlier than the full semester dates.

Click here to see a campus map to help you find your classes.

If you need proof of enrollment for insurance, you can email the Student Hub at [email protected] (using your student email) to request an Enrollment Verification letter - or after the semester has started, you can access one any time you need it in the Self-Service app in your myLCCC account.
