This week we come to the final sermon in our Real Love Series. I do want to take a moment and thank Jason Arnold for the great job he did last week, reminding us to be in the moment, to be attentive to where our feet are. The entirety of the Real Love Series can be summed up in the fact that God is Love, and that this divine love is extravagantly generous. I’ve always believed that generosity is a collision of thankfulness and sacrifice. Love always has a sacrificial component that comes from a deep heart of gratitude, which is why we have waited to preach this before Thanksgiving. Gratitude to God is an incubator for generosity to all people No one is accidentally generous, any more than they are accidentally loving! The truth is, what we love affects how we spend our money, treat our relationships, what we dream about, work for, and how we spend our time. In short, the affection of our hearts sets the direction of our lives. I believe until we see generosity as a sacred extension of God’s love, we will always see it as optional. Join us Sunday as we celebrate a church that reflects Gods love in generous ways, and as we prepare our hearts for Thanksgiving!
