Discussion Sessions
Welcome Breakfast and Orientation
Tuesday morning will begin with a Welcome Breakfast and Orientation, open to all meeting attendees, to kick off a day of committee meetings and discussion sessions. New members and first-time attendees, along with their spouses, are encouraged to attend this orientation for a brief overview of the GFA, and for a chance to meet a few people before the general meeting. This session will also include a brief discussion of activity options for the next meeting.
CEO Luncheon
On Tuesday, we will again have a CEO Luncheon Meeting, featuring a roundtable discussion of items that would be of interest to CEOs. Attendance will be limited to CEOs and senior officers with P/L responsibility. A maximum of two people per member company may attend, provided that they both meet the provisions. There is a $55 per person fee in addition to the meeting registration fee to attend this session.
Fabricator Forum
Enjoy an opportunity to discuss the issues that are of specific interest to Fabricators and that are most relevant to you and your company with your peers in the industry. Pre-registration for the Tuesday afternoon session is required, but there is no additional fee. Attendance will be limited to Fabricator members of the GFA.
Breakfast Roundtable Discussion
On Wednesday morning, participate in a lively discussion of timely and relevant topics with other GFA members, and learn what they are doing to address the issues that are keeping them up at night. All attendees, including spouses and guests, are welcome!

To be eligible for this rate, at least 2 other representatives from your company must be paying the full fee.

COVID-19 Commitment
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa’s focus has been, and continues to be, on the health and well-being of their associates, guests, and visitors. As part of Marriott International's family of brands, they have implemented a variety of new protocols and elevated practices in response to the pandemic, including requiring guests, visitors, vendors, and associates to wear face coverings while at any Marriott Property, and they have made numerous adjustments to their services, amenities, and facilities.

Hand sanitizing stations are available in all public areas of the resort, and other amenities, such as masks and hand wipes, are available to attendees upon request. 

Meeting spaces will be set up to allow adequate social distancing, and attendees will be spaced out enough to ensure safe and comfortable communication. Evening events will be held in outdoor settings as much as possible, and all equipment used during the meeting, in particular microphones, will be sanitized before and after use. 

Guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily with a focus on high-touch areas, and sanitization kits are available in each guest room. For those who wish for a contactless check-in, mobile check-in is available.

Local testing is available at the CenturyLink Stadium, which offers rapid testing. They accept appointments and walk-ups based on testing availability.

The Golf Tournament will begin at 9:00 am on Thursday, April 22nd at Crown Colony Golf and Country Club, located just 20 minutes from the resort.

This 18 hole championship course, designed by world-renowned course architect Ron Garl, winds among 21 clear water lakes, protected natural wetlands, and is surrounded by mature pines and stately oaks.

Golfers will share a round with a gallery of birds and other wildlife on this Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Course.

Players of all levels will discover their own sweet spot from amongst the 8 sets of tees ranging from 4600 to 7000 yards.

Swamp Buggy Tour
Thursday, April 22nd at 9:00 am

Join us for an exciting day of adventure and fun on Thursday, April 22nd beginning at 9:00 am.

Jump onboard a private swamp buggy eco-tour! Explore with us the natural wildlife of historic Babcock Ranch and travel through the Crescent B Ranch, a working cattle ranch, while learning about its history.

As you wander through Florida ecosystems, you will have the opportunity to see various local wildlife – like wild turkeys, caracara, softshell turtles, osprey, Sandhill cranes, and fox squirrels. In addition to wildlife sightings, the experienced and knowledgeable tour guide will give you the history of the ranch and 14,000 acres of pastured land.

Attendees will return to the hotel by 1:00 pm.

Spouse Activities
The spouse registration fee includes admission to all sessions unless otherwise noted on the program. This includes all general sessions and presentations, continental breakfasts, lunch on Wednesday, and all cocktail receptions. GFA Committees
All the committees will meet from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 20th. All attendees are welcome!

The Communications Committee considers enhancements to the GFA’s website, newsletter, social media program, and other tools to promote the GFA and deliver information to members.

The Membership Committee develops and implements initiatives for the recruitment of new members, reviews and recommends for approval the applications of potential members, and encourages participation in GFA activities.

The Program and Locations Committee selects future meeting programs, speakers, and locations for the GFA’s semi-annual meetings.

The Technical Committee develops technical content of interest to GFA members for delivery through webinars, newsletter articles, and meeting programs.
Ground Transportation
Hotel Parking: The hotel offers free on-site self-parking for GFA members. Valet parking is available at a rate of $20 daily.

Taxi: Taxi services are available at the hotel and the Southwest Florida International Airport. The estimated fare for a taxi from the airport to the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa is $45 each way.

Luxury Car Service: Naples Tours and Transportation offers luxury roundtrip transportation to and from the airport.

Uber/Lyft: The ride-sharing apps, Uber and Lyft, are available for local transportation, and can be downloaded to your smart device via the app store on IOS and Android products.

May I go to the meetings?

Meetings are open to all attendees except as noted on the schedule.

Please note that Manufacturer Representatives are NOT permitted to attend any GFA functions.
What is the proper attire?

For all committee meetings and general sessions, the attire is casual. The cocktail receptions are informal.

Hotel policy states that a face covering must be worn in all indoor public areas. The covering may be removed once seated in a restaurant or event space, but must be worn at all times when away from your table.
What will the weather be like?

The daytime temperature in Fort Myers is expected to average about 82°F.

Evening temperatures are expected to average about 67°F.
