Greetings & Happy Holidays!
I want to introduce myself to the membership, in case you don't already know me or haven't met me. I’m Josh Lind, a Broker from Exit JK Realty, and I’m your 2019 GFAR President. It is such a pleasure to be able to represent the Realtors for Great Falls and surrounding areas that are a part of our organization. My door and phone are always open to you. I welcome your suggestions and concerns, and look forward to meeting with and getting to know you throughout my term and beyond my tenure in this office.
We have a lot to look forward to this year and have some big changes coming our way. The biggest change is our conversion to the Montana Regional MLS (MRMLS), which will be happening in mid January. This is an exciting transition that will help you provide better service to your clients. Additionally, the Regional MLS will provide you more ways to serve your clients, as well as improve your own business. We will have more information at our fingertips about our market, access to new markets and expanded opportunities for referrals with other offices and associations outside our immediate market. The Regional MLS (MRMLS) will now include the Associations of MOR (Missoula), NMAR (Northern Montana), Bitteroot (Hamilton), HAR (Helena), Rocky Mountain Association (Butte), and the Great Falls Association of REALTORS®.
Along with the Regional MLS Conversion, we are continuing to put an important focus on providing our members the best education available. We want to help you continue to be the top professionals in the real estate industry by having great speakers and events throughout the year. Also, we have a total revamp planned for the YPN committee. This will keep us engaged with our newer members and give them an opportunity to get involved in our association and community. The group wants to continue the great work our association does in Great Falls raising funds and organizing events like Stand Up for Students, which brings awareness to our homeless student population in Great Falls. We also rely on our Great Falls REALTORS® Flag Project to continue to fund raise and promote our Flag that flies over Great Falls.
Again, I want to thank you for your support and allowing me to represent you for this 2019 term. In the spirit of the Christmas, which is the season of giving, I believe that gratuity and giving have directly benefited me in my Real estate career and have helped me have success in this difficult industry. I have benefitted not only from what I have given, but also what others in our association have given and shared with me over the years. Especially when they didn’t have to or have any benefit from the act. I believe that the REALTOR® family here in Great Falls is one of the most generous organizations I’ve seen or been associated with. Give your time and volunteer in our community, and never hesitate to share or help a fellow Realtor.
