We're Celebrating 30 Years of Lending!

It all started in 1996, when GFDA made its very first loan to help fill the financing gap needed to launch Pasta Montana. That first investment kicked off three decades of helping businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and developers turn great ideas into reality across our region.

Thirty years later, we’re proud of the businesses we’ve helped start, the expansions we’ve supported, the jobs created, the homes and community facilities built, the properties redeveloped, and the partnerships that have made it all possible.

Working with our bank and credit union partners, we have made 215 gap and bridge loans, 12 brownfields sub-grants, and 39 SBA 504 loans!

We've made gap and bridge loans totaling $76,236,266 which have made possible over $400 million of investment. Loans have ranged from $2,992 to a $6.2 million package. In 30 years our cumulative loss of loan principal has been 0.6% of loans made.

We've closed $20,288,000 in SBA 504 loans which have made possible over $50 million of investment with $0 losses.

We've made $1,652,992 in brownfields subgrants which have made possible over $27 million of redevelopment investment.

Thank you to every borrower, lender, investor, and partner who has been part of the journey!

Here’s to 30 years of filling the gap and many more years of building opportunity across our trade area!
