TOWN HALL MEETING

FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT

Oct. 8 | 9-10:30 AM | Tech School

The churches of Guntersville have once again partnered with One Generation Away to host another large Food Distribution event on Saturday, October 8th, at the Marshall Technical School/12312 US-431, Guntersville, AL 35976, from 9:00 am-10:30 am or until the food runs out. Please note that the food distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis; and a rain or shine event.

Volunteers are needed, please contact Heather Epperson to volunteer. Volunteers need to arrive between 7:00 - 7:30 am.

PUMPKIN PRAYER STATION

Oct. 8 | 11 AM - 1 PM 

Servants/Volunteers Needed

Save the date and join the fun at the Downtown Merchants (DTM) Fall Fest! Guntersville First is hosting The Pumpkin Prayer Station. Kids will enjoy this walk-thru event of the gospel being told through different stations of pumpkin carving and receive some goodies too! The Pumpkin Prayer Station is Saturday, October 8th, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (or until goodies/supplies last), in the GFUMC main parking lot.  We need servants/volunteers for this event; please contact Heather Epperson below to serve.

MEN FALL KICKOFF MEETING

Sept. 27 | 6:30 PM | Gunter's Landing

Gentlemen,

We will have our Fall Kickoff meeting on Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30 p.m. We will meet and eat (dutch treat) at the Gunter’s Landing Clubhouse. Former U of A Women’s Basketball Coach Rick Moody will be our guest speaker and hopefully challenge us to live into our role of being the Spiritual leader in our homes and our Church.

Now more than ever, our Church, Christ’s Church, needs us to step up and be intentional in our leadership and service.

SPECIAL BLESSINGS

Families with Special Needs Kids Ministry

Special Blessings is a ministry for families with special needs kids that helps to offset the burden of their daily routine, including meals/snacks, diapers, etc., and the preparation/cost of supplies needed for their child. We are excited to share with you the opportunity to sponsor a special needs child. The cost is $50-$75 per month. We currently need 12 sponsors for families who have signed up to receive with the ministry.

THE FLOCK

College Aged Ministry

The Flock college-aged ministry for students aged 18-25 yrs. From the video above, you can see that leaders Emma Chinchar and Meg Walker are ready to build a much-needed community for college students who are seeking God. The Flock ministry meets every Sunday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the House/529 Blount Avenue.

C.A.S.T. for KIDS

Calling all our fishing friends! Registration is open for the 2022 Lake Guntersville C.A.S.T. for Kids event on October 8, 2022. This is a wonderful ministry providing a fun-filled fishing day for awesome kids! Boats, captains, and volunteers are needed to make this day special for the kids and families.
