A note from Kim Sekulow, 2nd VP
Ladies - we can't wait to read all of your reports, I know they will be spectacular.

Just a few reminders:
  • Please use the forms listed on the website.
  • Please note that the State President and Jr. Director special projects do not require a report.
  • Reports due Jan. 25th
  • If a project you are reporting in your top ten is ongoing (for example, reading to a classroom at an elementary school), you may list the multiple trips to the school to read as one project. Be sure to note in your narrative that the project is ongoing. However, any activities at the school that are unrelated to the reading project should be listed as separate projects.
  • And last, but certainly not least - please know that we're here for you should you have any questions or need help.

Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication,
Kim
Here's a little motivation to help you cross the finish line...
MLK Day of Service Jan. 20th
to benefit Georgia Cares
Dear GFWC Georgia ladies,

Our MLK Day of Service is almost upon us on January 20, 2020. Many times the theme of the day is about not taking a day off but a day to help. This is certainly what GFWC Georgia federated women do - help. This year the state wide project is to support GA Cares. Many of you may recall the presentation from GA Cares at Institute. Their mission is to help children who have been sex trafficked. Please see below the time to drop off donations or how clubs who are a distance away may donate online.

Georgia Cares Staff will meet us at their office on Monday, January 20 th  from 4:00pm to 6:00pm to accept donations from our members. The address is 2255 Cumberland Parkway, Suite 1950 Atlanta, GA 30339. For members living throughout the State of Georgia they can go online and make a monetary donations that will go toward the vital programs for the youth they serve throughout the state.

Youth are primarily ages 12-17 years of age. They can always use any type of Gift Cards.

They can use any of the following items for the youth:
  • Jacket/Sweatshirts variety of sizes
  • Books and Magazines
  • Bath/ Shower Items
  • Lotions and cologne
  • Fashion socks
  • Cozy Blankets
  • Fun accessories

Please  Click Here to Donate Now  for clubs who cannot travel to the site. All of Georgia's children are served through this organization, not just metro Atlanta.

Thank you for your generosity in helping the children who are impacted by sex trafficking in our state. Please click here to learn more about Georgia Cares - https://www.gacares.org/

Stop Violence Against Women
Capitol Day, February 4th
Stop Violence Against Women Day is our annual advocacy event. It is an opportunity for concerned Georgians from across the state to demand attention be paid to victims of domestic violence. Every year the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) prepares over 300 supporters for Stop Violence Against Women Day – our supporters gather at the capitol building to advocate for victims of domestic violence, to ensure services are not impacted through budget cuts, and communicate the need for the state to be involved and vigilant in the quest to end domestic and sexual violence. The upcoming Stop Violence Against Women Day will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020. GFWC Georgia will partner with GCADV this year and provide the continental breakfast items, paper products, and some printing.

Please join Tina Daniel and club members from across the state on this day! Please register below and Presidents please send us a list of club members attending so we can provide additional details.

Email Tina with your registration list. Volunteers should report in at 7:30a.m. We need your help and your voice.
