GFWC GA Monthly Connections
It is the belief of GFWC Georgia that life is better when we are connected. We connect in person at our meetings and helping with projects in our communities. We also connect through disseminating information through our newsletter, social media channels, and the monthly GFWC GA Connections bulletin you are receiving today. It is the goal of this administration to strengthen our connection with all of our members and to re-connect the disconnected.  Our vision is to build our membership and, we want everyone engaged to the fullest extent and excited to be a part of GFWC Georgia.  Being connected is the best way to work and serve our communities better, together. Stay connected with us!

10 Ways To Honor The Fallen on Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day is a day to honor those courageous men and women who have served and given their lives for the causes of freedom, liberty, and peace.

Here are just a few things and/or possible club projects you can do to honor Memorial Day and pay respect to our fallen heroes.

Thank you to those that sent in your military photos. I have been reminded that Memorial Day is to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, therefore we will keep those family members in our prayers. I will continue to accept photos and will create a Tribute video scheduled to debut on Veterans Day! Thank you.

Move In May” The Junior Special Project for 2018-2020 is Women’s Health with an emphasis is Diabetes. One way to be healthy is to “Move”. As women who are on the go all the time, it seems impossible at times to take a few minutes to exercise. My challenge for the month of May is “Move” at least 10 minutes each day. Maybe a walk outside in the warm weather; a walk around the inside of your house, move your arms up and down if walking is not possible, take your children for a walk with their stroller/bike, walk in place while watching TV, the options are endless, so be creative to Move in May. You will be able to serve others (your family, friends and community) better when “You” feel better.
Be watching for the next tip for June.

I challenge each Junior Club to remember the Veterans in your community on May 28, 2018 Memorial Day. Whether a big or small project, let’s do something to remember these men and women who sacrificed for our freedom. Take pictures and share with us on the GFWC Georgia Junior Conference Facebook page and/or send to Freda at the email above. We want to hear your ideas and share with others.

Please remember that your GFWC Junior Conference is here to serve you. You can reach out to me at or . Have a blessed day and remember...

On March 17, your GFWC Georgia 2018-2020 leadership team met in Monroe to begin working to fulfilling the goals and vision of this administration. Over 80 ladies were in attendance brainstorming, talking leadership talk, and working on an action plan. The ladies traveled from all over the state and left energized and ready to begin these two years of fulfilling our mission. Hosts Tina Daniel and Becky Bolden were very grateful for the excitement and energy the ladies had to fulfill the obligations of their positions on this team.
