Products & Technology:
Old, New, Tried
& True

Course Description
Prevention involves much more than just brushing and flossing. Dynamic contemporary practice and leading-edge patient care should include salivary testing, complete oral cancer screenings, and the use of innovative oral health products and technologies. But how can a practitioner keep up? New products seem to appear almost daily.

The course reviews commercial and professional products, some new and exciting, and some established favorites seen in a new light. Participants will also learn research tips and receive hands on evaluation of some products. The content will help practitioners develop customized prevention programs that go far beyond teaching people how to brush and floss and build practices in the process.
Learning Outcomes
  • Review research on commercial and professional products that can make practice more effective and easier for patients and practitioners
  • Develop a prevention program using tests, technologies, and products that fit a practice philosophy and style
  • Know where to find objective research on products and ingredients
  • Identify resources with additional information and demonstrations
