GGUSD Kicks-Off the 2025/26 School Year!

On Monday, Garden Grove Unified School District kicked off the first day of school across the district, welcoming students back to campus with balloons, red carpets, high-fives, cheer tunnels and fun assemblies. The day was filled with warm greetings, joyful reunions, and the shared excitement of beginning a new chapter together. Families, teachers, and staff joined in celebrating the promise of a year filled with learning, growth, and success!

Good Day LA Features Eisenhower Elementary

Principal Chris Ash and Assistant Principal Maida Garcia kicked off the school year with energy and excitement as they welcomed Good Day LA reporter Koco McAboy to campus on Monday for an unforgettable first day! This dynamic duo proudly shared Eisenhower’s soaring academic success —including its recognition as a 2025 California Distinguished School —and their commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for every student. The Eisenhower Eagles are ready to soar into another amazing year filled with learning, growth, and school pride!

GGUSD's Community Aid Drive Supports Families in Need

Last Saturday, more than 115 GGUSD staff, students and community leaders came together to host a district Community Aid Drive to collect canned food, non-perishable items, diapers and other items to distribute to GGUSD families in need. Thank you to Board President Lan Nguyen, Vice President Bob Harden, Trustee Teri Rocco, Superintendent Gabriela Mafi and 40 school and district administrators for helping to organize and run the collection drive. We also appreciate the wonderful participation and support from OC Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento, Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein, Garden Grove City Councilmembers Cindy Ngoc Tran and Ariana Arestegui, representatives from the Santa Ana City Council, and support from United Across Borders, Community Action Partnership of Orange County and Daly Movers. We love seeing our community come together to support one another and uplift each other during hardships.

Marshall Elementary Hosts a Delicious Fundraiser

Marshall Elementary teamed up with In-N-Out Burger for a delicious way to make a difference! Families and friends came together to support the school through this special fundraiser, where 75% of proceeds went directly back to Marshall to fund exciting school activities and programs. The remaining 25% benefited the In-N-Out Burger Foundation®, helping children and youth in local communities who have experienced abuse or neglect. It was a win-win: enjoying a great meal while supporting our students and a meaningful cause!

Free Live-Chat Tutoring for All GGUSD Students

GGUSD has partnered with Varsity Tutors to offer FREE 24/7 live chat tutoring and one-hour tutoring sessions to support students in their academic success (Goal 1). The program is accessible from home through ClassLink using a district-provided device.
