GGUSD preschool and elementary schools are ready for an incredible year ahead! Principals, assistant principals, secretaries, and district leaders gathered for the annual Principals Welcome Back Breakfast, where they connected over breakfast, shared important updates, and prepared for a successful 2026–27 school year.

GGUSD's dedicated school teams are eager to welcome students back to campus on Monday, August 10, and are looking forward to another year of learning, growth, and success together. Here's to a great start to the new school year!

Preparation of the New School Year

GGUSD teachers are making the most of summer by participating in Super Week—a full week of engaging workshops designed to inspire, collaborate, and grow!

Throughout the week, educators are exploring innovative strategies to increase student engagement, create fun and meaningful learning experiences, and strengthen the academic skills that help every student succeed.

By investing in continuous learning, GGUSD teachers are ensuring they're ready to provide the best possible experience for students when they return to the classroom.

Pacifica High School Welcomes the Class of 2030

Pacifica High School welcomed its newest Mariners! Incoming freshmen visited campus to pick up their class schedules, take their student ID photos, connect with current student leaders and staff, and tour their new campus.

The exciting day gave students a chance to get familiar with their new school, ask questions, and start building connections before the first day of school. We're excited to see the Class of 2030 begin their high school journey and can't wait for an amazing year ahead!

Give your child a strong start in a caring, engaging learning environment! Our fee-based preschool program at Enders Elementary School still has openings for the 2026–27 school year.

Eligible children: Born September 2, 2022 – December 1, 2023

Program Highlights:

• Credentialed, caring teachers, play-based learning with a focus on early literacy and TK readiness
• Focus on academic, social, and emotional development
• Breakfast, lunch, and snack included
• School day: 8:15 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
• Tuition: $1,000/month
• Toilet training available for an additional fee.

Need help with tuition? We are an approved provider for both the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) and the Children's Home Society of California (CHS), and families may qualify for tuition assistance through these agencies.

GGUSD Offers Online Learning Resources to Keep Students Engaged

We encourage families to help students during the summer months stay engaged and prepared for the 2026–27 school year. As we do each summer, GGUSD has compiled free online resources for students in grades K–12, including access to digital textbooks, learning platforms, and parent support tools. Students may use these tools to preview the next year’s content across subjects so they can be prepared for the academic year to come or to review concepts from the past school year they have yet to master!
