Pace Land Use Law Center’s Annual Conference Goldstein Hall Senior Associate, Jason Labate, presented Won’t You Be My Neighbor: Breaking the Barriers to Creating Affordable Housing at this year’s conference.

Who Is My Neighbor? Developing Churches, Buildings and Neighborhoods with Room for All  Goldstein Hall, the New York State Council of Churches, the Pace University Land Use Law Center and others partnered to reflect on how to build racially and economically inclusive neighborhoods, towns and cities. Empowerment Business and Faith Forum  Goldstein Hall Associate, Chris Antonelli, presented at the Christian Times Publications’ Martin Luther King, Jr. Economic Empowerment Business and Faith Forum. He spoke about opportunities for faith-based real estate development and the keys to a successful deal. Utilizing Religious & Non Profit Property to Support and Expand Mission  Goldstein Hall Senior Associate, Jason Labate, was a featured speaker where he discussed how religious organizations and nonprofits are utilizing their property to support and expand mission and ministry.

Leases May Waive Yellowstone Injunction Relief By Brian J. Markowitz and Matthew Trauner What is a “Yellowstone injunction”? No, it's not related to the National Park. Since the New York Court of Appeals landmark decision in First National Stores Inc. v. Yellowstone Shopping Center, Inc., c ommercial tenants have had a powerful tool to delay termination of their commercial leases for alleged violations. However, a recent decision from the New York Court of Appeals (New York’s highe st court) affirmed a ruling that a waiver of the tenant-friendly Yellowstone injunction does not violate public policy.
