Upper School Parent Service Opportunities

Dear Parents,

Please take a moment to consider contributing to our community as a volunteer, representing and serving either a student House or a specific grade level. The unity of our families thrives in the light of the example our dedicated parents embody when they seek to serve our school. We are continually humbled by the tremendous support our volunteering parents have committed to our students and our families, and we thank you for offering your time and attention to the enrichment of our culture. Virtue is embodied— and the virtue you exhibit for our students uplifts our entire community.

We hope to have House Parents and Room Parents determined by the time of the year’s first Concilium Meeting on Monday, September 23 at 8 a.m. — a meeting open to all parents focused on planning for and supporting our parent and student community in coordination with House Parents and Senators. All parents looking to serve are invited!

Please click here to complete a short interest form and to learn more about the House Parent and Room Parent roles.

Sincerely,

Eva Klassen, PSO President
Philip Althage, Upper School Headmaster

Box Tops

Great Hearts Irving has participated in the Box Tops for Education program since the first year. The program has earned over $2,000 for the school! Box Tops has introduced a mobile app system that allows you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to GHI's earnings online. In this year of transition, Box Tops will also still accept the "clipped" Box Tops off of participating products. (Any "clipped" Box Tops need to be turned into the front desk of the school by October 15). Please click here for further details on this program.
Carline

If you pick up students from both Lower School and Upper School's campuses, please take 60 seconds to fill out the survey here. In an effort to make the process the most efficient, we need a count of those who pick up at both campuses. Please remember to press "submit" at the end.
