GHT Fitness Challenge Team Leader Information
Thank you for participating in the WCA Group Health Trust (GHT) Fitness Challenge. As the team leader you will collect and report your team's points, distribute prizes and keep your teammates up to date.

The team leaders main responsibility is to report the team's weekly points using an online form. Link to report points.

To have an idea on what information you will need when completing the reporting points form, please click here to see an example.

All team scores are tracked by the team leader's name. It is very important that you enter your name exactly the same each week, along with the correct week you are reporting. For example, if you enter the team leader's name as Tom Jones for week 1, please do not enter Thomas Jones for week 2.

Each team can earn points in two categories

  1. Total physical activity. A team of four can earn a maximum of 196 points per week.
  2. Total points for the weekly challenge. A team of four can earn a maximum of 28 points per week.

All points are reported on the honor system. There is no way to verify the accuracy of the information submitted. We ask that you please be honest to keep the challenge fair and fun for everyone.

Point Deadline

To be eligible for the weekly prize drawing, team points are due on Tuesday by 4:00 p.m. That means week 1 points are due September 22. You can view a printable list of deadlines here. Your weekly points can be submitted after the deadline, but you will not be entered in the weekly drawing. There is an opportunity at the end of the challenge to be entered in a drawing if your team has reported points all six weeks.
How Points Are Earned
Participants earn points each day depending on the amount of time they spend doing a physical activity. Choose which category you achieved and record the corresponding points. For example, if you did a 55-minute workout you would report 3 points for that day.

1-30 minutes/day = 1 point
31-60 minutes/day = 3 points
61-120 minutes/day = 5 points
121 or more minutes/day = 7 points

Weekly Challenge

There is an opportunity to earn additional points by doing the weekly challenge. Each day that you complete the respective activity you can add one point to your tracker.

Week 1
Set a daily exercise goal
Week 2
Keep a diary of your food and drink intake
Week 3
Consume at least 64 oz. of water per day
Week 4
Sleep 7-9 hours per night
Week 5
Do a 5-10 minute warm-up and 5-10 minute cool down
Week 6
Pick any activity from the previous 5 weeks. You can mix and match!
Tracking Your Points
All participants will record their activity for the week and then report to their team leader the totals for the week. The team leader will then report the team's total points.

Below are links to a tracker you can use to record your daily activity. To have a paper copy simply click below and print it. There is also an excel file if you would prefer to have an electronic tracker. This tracker is for your own use and is not turned in.

Below is an example of a completed tracker for week 1. This participant worked out 1-30 minutes for 3 days and earned one point on those days. On the other 3 days they had 31-60 minutes of physical activity so they earned 3 points on those days. They also did the weekly challenge on six days, so earned a point each day they completed it.

The team leader reports the total points for each team. So this participant would report to their team leader 12 points for physical activity and 6 points for completing the weekly challenge.
