Students, it's not too late to join! Team up with some of your chapter members and help spread the word and be our boots on the ground! Get into a classroom or student organization on your campus to share opportunities in the insurance industry. Boots on the Ground Month is a collaborative outreach initiative in support of Insurance Careers Movement.

Security in Risk Tour
The Security in Risk Tour continues this fall! In partnership with
Insurance Careers Movement
, Gamma Iota Sigma is sharing insurance career opportunities with students of all majors at colleges and universities without a GIS chapter.

#UniqueWeek was a national social media campaign from September 22-28 led by GammaSAID and engaging Gamma Iota Sigma chapters, students, and industry professionals to showcase what makes them unique. A huge

#GIS2019 has passed, but wow,
GammaSAID showed up!
18 chapters were recognized for their inclusive efforts with the International Chapter Award for Diversity & Inclusion; 19 chapters now report a D&I Officer, with several others utilizing GammaSAID's resources for an Officer Framework to shape their campus events and engagement; and 11 Council Members presented 4 interactive sessions:
- Tech and D&I: Implications in Promoting an Inclusive Workforce
- Presented by Cameron Alford (Beta Lambda), Jack Richards (Chi), and Michelle Torbit (Kappa)
- The Abstract Expressionism of D&I: Embracing the Value of Difference
- Presented by Alexis Isom (Eta & Student Co-Chair) and Gilberto Ramirez (Rho)
- One Step Back, Two Steps Forward: an Exploration of D&I Ideas and Solutions
- Presented by Alexis Isom (Eta & Student Co-Chair), Violet Krause (Alpha Iota), and Angelina Lam (Iota)
- GammaSAID What? The Politics of Identity and Language

IICF Week of Giving:

In partnership with IICF, GIS encourages you to participate in the 2019 Week of Giving! Each year, our students and chapters come together to make a positive impact and contribute to local communities through a wide range of inspiring service projects, from stocking food pantries and cleaning up local shelters to reading with children and assisting elderly neighbors. Post photos of your projects and impact to social media and tag the Grand Chapter. We look forward to this year's activity!
