Dear GISC Families & Friends,
We're excited to offer "Ubercool Summer Adventures," a German-Immersion Summer Camp for children ages 3-11. In partnership with the Lycée Français de Chicago (LFC), it will take place at the LFC Campus, 1929 W Wilson Ave, Chicago, IL 60640. This year, we are offering two 3-week sessions:
Session 1: July 12 - July 30, 2021
Session 2: August 2 - August 20, 2021
Both sessions are Mondays through Fridays with extended hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Each group will be its own cohort. Instead of offering After Camp Care, hours were extended to avoid mixing of cohorts.
Whether your child is new to the German language or already speaks German, this is a great opportunity to both learn German and deepen existing language skills.
There will be lots of outdoor activities, including playing, singing, crafting, creating, imagining, and having plenty of summer fun, all in German! Beyond language acquisition, this camp offers a deeper understanding of the German-speaking cultures.
