WILPFUS Banner

Dear Glenn:

Even as a high school student, I have found deep interest in the world of international relations, its intersections with gender studies, and related research and policy work from a feminist perspective. So, when I came across WILPF, I was instantly inspired by WILPF’s work and mission. I launched the new WILPF Miami Branch, Miami Mujeres, in June 2023, and it quickly attracted 20 new members!

At the virtual August Gathering, when over a 100 WILPFers shared their activist work, I enjoyed the opportunity to present about our new branch. I felt energized as many members – across the U.S. – welcomed me, saying: “You are the future of WILPF!”

I am writing to you today to ask you to invest in that future! On Dec. 10th, I stand with you in honoring WILPF's historical role in the creation of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights (UDHR). Given that the declaration turns 75 this year, will you donate a $75 gift or more to invest in WILPF’s future?

I am proud that WILPF is a dynamic, courageous, women-centered force for change. I see how WILPF works on a multitude of issues – from peace, human rights, social justice, and environmental justice. Please read more about WILPF’s 2023 initiatives and strong human rights record.

I was also excited to learn about WILPF’s 2024 UN Commission on the Status of Women Practicum in Advocacy program, and I am thrilled that there will be a face-to-face Triennial Congress in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2024.

As one of the youngest WILPFers, I urge you to invest in WILPF’s future – OUR FUTURE! This is doubly important as WILPF calls for a ceasefire in the Middle East as well as prepares for the challenges of the 2024 election year. Please give a $75 donation or more by the end of 2023.

In peace and action,

Eva Egozi
