For Many of us in the US the holiday of Thanksgiving marks the beginning of our Holiday season.
Worldwide the scramble for presents for Christmas & Hanukah has begun in earnest especially since the supply chain issues continue.
I went to my local store in October to make sure we had 3 cans of the cranberry sauce my family likes!
How crazy is that!
But amidst the worry about presents and cranberry sauce I want us all to take a moment and give thanks. This is not easy given the daily information we get about the Pandemic or never ending discrimination and murders.
It is necessary though. For if we do not thank our higher power or our friends and family for what we have achieved this year it will be lost in the number of cans of cranberry sauce or holiday candies you are able to stock pile.
So let me get this "Giving Thanks"
exercise started;
I Am Thankful for All of You.
You make my life so much more rewarding and purposeful. Thank you for all of your support of the work we do.
I Am Thankful for My Family. It is because of Charlie, Megan, Adam, and Ellis that I find the strength to keep going.
I am Thankful for My Friends. Some of you are from NJ and some of you I met along the way.
Some of you have been friends for 70+ years and some have been friends for only 3 years. No matter, you make my life rich with
meaning and input that is always valuable.
I am Thankful for All The Scientists whose work gave us the vaccines which are taking us out of the darkness into the light.
I know some of you have worked on this science for almost thirty years and I thank you for all you have done.
Lastly I am Thankful for my life and my continued ability to do the work I do and love. Making a Difference is not something I say it is what I live!
I have gotten you started now you get to compose your own Thankful
List! Let me know what's on yours.
Happy Holidays!
Susan
