Congratulations to Our GJPS Inventor!
Congratulations to High Point Elementary graduate and rising Middle School East student Isabella Buell for her FIRST PLACE award at the Central Regional Invention Convention. The honor has advanced Isabella to the state finals along with over 300 students from across Ohio.

Isabella's "Inch by Inch Legging and Pant Extenders" invention has solved what to do when leggings or pants become too short.

State award recipients will be announced during a ceremony on August 8.
GJPS SUMMER ENRICHMENT
JumpBunch Ultimate Obstacle Course Camp

GJPS students in grades 3-5 tested their physical skills at the GJPS Ultimate Obstacle Course camp hosted at Chapelfield Elementary. Coaches walked students through several different fitness activities and taught proper techniques to tackle several challenging obstacle courses.

COSI STEM Week at Summer Enrichment

Blast off with COSI kits! GJPS "astronauts" in grades 3-5 enjoyed a week's worth of space-themed STEM activities and science experiments featuring COSI Connect Space Kits. Students were challenged to build a rocket, design a moon base and engineer the perfect parachute.

2021-2022 GJPS EDUCATOR SPOTLIGHT HONOREES
As the 2021-22 school year drew to a close, our families were asked to help us shine a spotlight on our dedicated GJPS teachers and staff.

Families were given a chance to nominate an outstanding GJPS educator who had gone above and beyond during the year and significantly impacted their students.

Nominated educators received:
  • Special acknowledgment at a GJPS Board of Education meeting
  • Recognition on the GJPS website, newsletter and social media
  • Certificate of appreciation from Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools

Still Available:BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits

We will continue to distribute BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits while supplies last. These test kits can be used to detect an active COVID-19 infection. 

You may request kits for:
  • The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household
  • Up to 2 parents/guardians per household
  • The number of GJPS staff in your household

Kits are available for pick up for three days after completing the Rapid Test Request Form at the GJPS Administration Building, 160 S. Hamilton Road. Please ring the bell inside the front door for service.
