A Message from Superintendent Barrett

We are happy to announce that our teachers' association, Gahanna-Jefferson Education Association (GJEA), voted to ratify a tentative collective bargaining agreement.

Our board of education will vote on a recommendation to approve the agreement on May 5, 2021 at 5:30 PM. If you are interested in viewing this meeting, there will be a YouTube link posted on the district's website 30 minutes before the meeting.
GLHS Vaccine Clinic Reminder

The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered to students 16+ years of age during the school day on Friday, May 7 in the Lincoln High School Auditorium.

The second dose is only available for those students who received their first dose of the vaccine from the GLHS Vaccine Clinic on Friday, April 16.
Kindergarten Roundup

Incoming kindergarten students and their guardians are invited to attend a roundup session at the elementary school for their attendance area. This is a great time to meet your principal, kindergarten teachers and visit your new school.

We recognize families have been inundated with information about the pandemic, and we have worked hard to simplify communication about COVID-19 so you can find the resources that matter most to you and your family.

You can access the GJPS COVID-19 Resource Website in two ways.


  • Access the site from the homepage of the GJPS district website. If you previously had our COVID-19 information page from the district site bookmarked, you may need to refresh your bookmarks to add the new website.
Still Available:BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits

We will continue to distribute BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits while supplies last. These test kits can be used to detect an active COVID-19 infection. 

You may request kits for:
  • The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household
  • Up to 2 parents/guardians per household
  • The number of GJPS staff in your household

Kits are available for pick up for three days after completing the Rapid Test Request Form, at the GJPS Administration Building, 160 S. Hamilton Road. Please ring the bell inside the front door for service.
