A MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT BARRETT
Dear Gahanna-Jefferson families,
As we close out the 2020-2021 school year, you may be tempted to breathe a collective sigh of relief. It was an extremely difficult year, and I am deeply grateful to all of our district families for their support and flexibility.
I am proud of our GJPS community. Our dedicated teachers rose to the challenges with perseverance, collaboration and enthusiasm – helping our students to endure and thrive under challenging circumstances. The sacrifice and commitment of our families also did not go unnoticed. Thank you for adapting to new ways of learning to support our students. Your steadfast resilience has been incredible.
I also want to take a second to congratulate our graduating seniors, who will have their graduation tomorrow morning at the Schottenstein Center. This senior class had to adapt to so many challenges, and even though their senior year was not the one they hoped to have, the class of 2021 persevered and achieved a great deal. We are proud of their individual and collective accomplishments, and we wish them the best in future endeavors.
We look forward to an amazing 2021-2022 school year. Have a safe and fun-filled summer!
Sincerely,
Steve Barrett
