A Note From The Chapter President
Greetings! I hope everyone has had a safe and somewhat warm winter as we break out of these cold weather weeks and merge into March. 

I want to thank all the folks that have attended our first two Professional Development events this year. Shout out to our fabulous hosts and to our VP of Professional Development, Jennifer Rusch!

Attendance has been outstanding and we especially appreciate the feedback we’ve gotten so far. January's event was hosted by InQuest Marketing featuring former chapter board member Jessica Crozier. They did a great job sharing all they know about marketing content. 

The February luncheon featured podcasting as the topic, hosted by Brent Bowen of Sparkcade. We know that those who attended really enjoyed it and have let us know they’d like to see more on the technical side next time if possible. I know I was inspired and hope to do more with this valuable tool in the future.

We will do our best to continue bringing you the best speakers and content we can find in accordance with the survey responses our members have given us. As of right now, we plan to include the following topics this year: crisis communication, media roundtable, social media and leadership. 

Up next is video content marketing for this month’s event and don’t forget, we have the Student Summit coming up next month.

Hubspot said that video marketing was trending as the must-do content marketing tactic of 2018 and beyond. Video content has one of the highest marketing consumption rates, but for that to translate into ROI for a brand, it must be done correctly....smartly. That is what this presentation will focus on. The What, How and Why of creating and using video content in 2019. We will also discuss how video content is complemented by and is a compliment to, all other forms of content marketing. Thus increasing the ROI on a whole campaign.
