Supra eKEY Redesigns APP Look and Functionality
If you are currently using the Supra App on your mobile device you will soon see a change to the appearance of the app. This update affects users with the newest iPhones/iPads on IOS 10 or above, Apple watches with IOS3, and Android phones with OS5 or above.  App options will look different, but the biggest change is the new security measures for access. With the new change, when you request a new authorization code it is only valid for 24 hours and DISABLES any other device. New authorization codes must be entered promptly to avoid disabling your key and access. If this happens, you can contact Supra Support for a new code at 1-888-968-4032. For other Supra support issues call 1-877-699-6787.

Other improvements include:
  • Inventory button changed to “My Keyboxes”
  • The “obtain key” and “release shackle” buttons have been moved to the bottom of the app so that members can reach them using one hand.
  • You have the option to enter your pin once per day, instead of having to enter it each time you unlock a keybox. Change this option under eKEY settings menu.

Mandatory Terms of Use Coming the MLS in January
One of the roles of the MLS is to protect the MLS database. One way of providing protection is through copyright. For years, MLSs have been filing copyright applications with the U.S. Copyright Office for federal copyright registration of compilation copyright in the MLS database. And for years (decades, actually), the Copyright Office approved those applications. However, in late summer of last year, the U.S. Copyright Office began issuing requests for clarification of whether the creativity in MLS databases satisfies the federal requirements for copyright protection. Since that time, attorneys with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) have been in contact with the Copyright Office to explore what additional information the Copyright Office might accept to show the creativity in MLS databases. You can read more about NAR’s efforts  here .

Given recent uncertainty with the U.S. Copyright Office, we are reassessing our procedures to better position MSI to protect the database on behalf of participants and subscribers. We are updating our copyright application strategies and implementing new terms of use that clarify the MLS owns changes to the compilation.  MSI is not forcing participants or subscribers to give up ownership of listing content.  Instead, we are positioning ourselves to continue registering the compilation copyright (the selection, coordination, and arrangement of content; not the content itself) and changes to it.
The terms of use will appear on the login screen of Flexmls beginning on January 2, 2019. All users will be required to agree to the terms of use before they can proceed.  You will only have to take this action once.
The Terms of Use in its entirety is available here . For more information about copyrighting of the MLS, click here .
