Final call for Lost & Found items for September -- we collect what's left behind on the 30th of every month. If there's a name in the item, we will work to reunite it with its rower, if not GLC branded gear will be sold at regattas and everything else will be sent to Goodwill.

Fall Brentwood Scrimmage

Friday, Oct. 2-4

  • WHO: 2nd (JV) 8+'s for Experienced Boys and Girls. Your rower will know TODAY if they are attending.

  • WHEN: Victoria Clipper leaves Seattle at 8am Friday 10/2 and returns Sunday 10/4 at 7:45pm. All athletes should arrive to Pier 69 in downtown Seattle by 6:30am.

  • WHERE: Brentwood College School in Mill Bay, CA

  • REGISTRATION & PAYMENT: Please submit payment on ActiveNet by 11:59pm Thursday, October 1. It is a HUGE help to our office staff to have payments in before the event! If you do not pay prior, you will need to call Teal to pay on Monday 10/5.

  • OTHER: This is a great opportunity for our JV crews to get lots and lots of meters on the water! We borrow boats and stay on campus with our Brentwood rowing counterparts. We will need one parent chaperone, so please reach out to the office if you are interested (you'll get a real bed, no gym floor sleeping this time!). The parent chaperone will need to drive a minivan from the ferry terminal to Mill Bay and back, and generally be available to support the team as needed, but will also have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the view!

Erg-a-Thon is October 24!

Our Ergathon is one of the exciting events of the year at the boathouse. Please make sure your rower or you join a team with teammates. The event is late morning into early afternoon on Saturday, October 24th. Green Lake 4-6 person teams join forces to row for an hour to raise money for team equipment they use day in and day out at the boathouse. We encourage rowers to reach out to neighbors, family, and friends to support our rowing community. They'll get a donation link for their team, plus prizes and Green Lake merch for all participants, with a special something for those who raise the most and row the furthest. Go Gators!!

Every team captain should sign their team of 4-6 up here: https://forms.gle/7gkmEggYTj5YBWAo6.

Any questions, shoot them to Ted Clark (tootallted@gmail.com).

Volunteer for Frostbite Regatta

October 31st!

Fall is officially in full swing with regattas on the weekends and leaves changing. Our GLC home regatta, Frostbite, is 5 weekends away, and we want to show our best. Every Green Lake rower races at some point during the day, and we want to put our best foot forward in putting on the regatta. We do this by having folks volunteer in a variety of short-burst spots throughout the day.

Please sign up to help at the finish line, food tent, and other odd jobs during the day. Our teams rely on your help to make the day great for the Gators and all our visiting crews. You will be able to step away to watch your athlete compete!!

Grab a Volunteer spot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508044BAEAA23ABFC1-61747985-2026#/

Bake something for the food tent: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508044BAEAA23ABFC1-61747956-baked

Thanks for joining in and supporting your rower on the team.
