Email questions:

What to do if you or your child have tested positive or had close contact with someone who is positive:

Please contact the appropriate school nurse, Lindsay Reese (Lower Campus) or Cherrie Robinson (Upper Campus), immediately.

From our Nurses:

  1. Please remember to notify the nurse as well as the teachers if you are keeping your child home due to illness.
  2. If your child has concerning symptoms and you are getting him Covid-tested, his siblings must remain at home until the (hopefully) negative test result is received. If it is positive, please contact the school nurse immediately and of course, siblings must remain at home.
  3. If you have your child Covid-tested, please email the result (positive or negative) to the nurse.
  4. We ONLY accept PCR test results. Rapid antigen test results are not acceptable.

Order Your 2021-2022 Yearbook

Ollie is a wise owl. He knows that GLOBE has come full circle. Our very first kindergarten students will be 8th graders this year and he can't wait to see how they are celebrated in the 2021-22 yearbook. He knows that you and your child will want one, too!

Why buy now?
Two great reasons:
  • You are guaranteed to get a book.
  • $30 is the lowest price of the year. The price goes up in September.
How do I order?

Yearbook Recognition Ads - Now is the time to design your Eighth Grade Recognition ad. You may feature your eighth grader individually or in a group. We call these friend ads. Friend ads are eighth grade ads that highlight the strong bonds and friendships forged at GLOBE. Friend ads are a great way to preserve the memory of the times friends had together. Some examples of friend ads include:
  • Sports teams
  • Friend groups
  • Clubs
  • Just fun photos!

Carpool Reminders
Lower Campus

AM Carpool
ALWAYS follow the directions of Sergeant Mark. If the drop-off line gets backed up, he may open up the “flagpole” lot for drop-off as well. Please do not use that option, however, if he does not directly point you towards that lot.

Your child(ren) should be ready to exit the vehicle as soon as a staff member opens the door.

PM Carpool
As a school community we want to show C.R.E.S.T. to our neighbors. If you are parking then walking up to campus to pick up your child, please follow the numerous “No Parking” signs that are on the streets leading to campus. As one example, Briarwillow Drive has clearly marked “No Parking” signs. Therefore, please do not park anywhere on Briarwillow Drive. There are also similar signs on most parts of Heritage Drive. Of special note, there are ‘No Parking’ signs on Heritage Drive once you pass the entrance/exit to Charles McDaniel Park (as you’re approaching the curb where Heritage Drive turns into Meadowvale Drive). It is your responsibility to pay attention to these signs and the details on them. The school will not be responsible for any parking tickets that are issued by the Dekalb County Police Department.

Please get in the habit of having your carpool tag with you each day. Parents/guardians without the tag will need to park off campus and report to the front office with identification.

Upper Campus

Carpool is getting better!

Some important notes to help next week run even more smoothly:

AM Carpool

1. Please DO NOT arrive at school prior to 7:25 AM for AM carpool. We cannot start the carpool line until teachers are in place, and when the lot is full, they cannot park and get to their classrooms on time.

2. Please use the time while waiting in carpool line to make sure your student is ready to exit the car. Mask ON, backpack in lap (not in the backseat or the trunk), water bottle and lunch box in hand.

3. Please pull up ALL THE WAY up to the car in front of you. Do NOT let students out while the RED flag is in view. GREEN means you are clear to release your students from the car.

PM Carpool

1. Line up for afternoon carpool begins at 2:30 PM. Any car pulling into the parking lot prior to that time will be directed to leave and return at 2:30.

2. Upon arrival, stop at the carpool cone until directed around the back of the building. Then, wait at the cone on the back side until PE class concludes at 3:05 PM. Coach Lewis will move the cones for you to pull around for pick up.

3. Instructional time ENDS at 3:10 PM. Please be patient as it takes a few moments for students to gather their belongings and get downstairs.

4. Since students are not released until 3:10, please consider coming later so you will not have to wait so long.
