Dear GLOBE Community,
The feeling of distress and grief hovering over our nation right now is thick and impossible to ignore. Our collective despair is palpable. We struggle to regain any sense of positive normalcy as we all navigate a global pandemic coupled with the deadly and pervasive virus called racism that has afflicted America for more than 400 years.
The GLOBE Academy is committed to being in the wheel of change that betters this country. As an educational institution it is our duty and our very mission to be a central part of developing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world. As we said in our brief message to the community earlier this week, we will continue the work of creating a safe environment for our black students, families and staff. We know that there is a transformative power in education. And so we are asking ourselves how we

can be more; and we have begun conversations, reading and research within our leadership and staff about how GLOBE can affect change through the work we do in the classroom and within our community as a whole. It is our aim to truly and contagiously embody C.R.E.S.T. and we understand that that will mean doing more in the pursuit of equality and racial justice.
