We are thrilled to welcome keynote speaker, Dr. Blair Feltmate, Head of the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Feltmate's presentation, "The State of Climate Change and Evolving Extreme Weather Risk: How Canada is Preparing for Flooding, Wildfire, and Extreme Heat," promises an insightful exploration of the escalating financial and social implications of climate change in Canada. Drawing upon his expertise, Dr. Feltmate will quantify the mounting costs over the past 40 years and illuminate Canada's strategic initiatives to guide and implement solutions against the risks of flooding, wildfire, and extreme heat. A distinguished leader in the field, Dr. Feltmate's rich background, including positions at Bank of Montreal and Ontario Power Generation, combined with his influential role in national and global climate initiatives, makes this a not-to-be-missed event. Join us as we collectively shape a more resilient future.
