Good morning,

Below is an update on the current road and bridge construction projects as we head into next week.

Pier Drive Bridge Construction – Helm started the Pier Drive Bridge renovation this past Tuesday and even with some rain this week, they’ve made good progress. As construction continues, Pier Drive behind the dam will be closed to all through traffic. During this time, you will need to use Best Road to avoid the construction area.

You will be able to access the Camper Storage area from Lake Summerset Road near the Operations building, and you will be able to access the Marina and the Boat storage area by using Pier Drive from the north.

Culvert Replacements – Sjostrom started the Culvert Replacement project this past week. In all, 13 crossroad culverts will be replaced, and work will continue this week. Below is a schedule of road closures for this coming week. The rain we received this week put Sjostrom one day behind.

Monday, 9/21 and Tuesday, 9/22 - Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed while the culvert spanning the road between 908 & 1065 is replaced. This job will begin on Monday and end on Tuesday afternoon. Suggested alternate routes are to use Breckenboro Drive or Drexel Road.

Wednesday, 9/23 - No road closures are scheduled as they will be paving the roads which were cut to accommodate the replacements.

Thursday, 9/24 and Friday, 9/25 – No additional road closures are necessary as Sjostrom will be replacing culverts behind the Dam on Pier Drive.

If weather causes a delay in the construction, an eblast will be sent advising you of the changes.

Thanks in advance for your patience during the construction phase. While no one likes the inconvenience of detours and road closures, properly maintaining our infrastructure is critical to the long-term health of our community.

Mike
