Construction Update & Road Closure Notice – Sjostrom & Sons have been working on the replacement of 13 crossroad culverts and I’m glad to report that the culvert replacement is complete. The final leg of this project is to repair the road on Lake Summerset Road in front of Tamarack Park. This was the largest and widest culvert installed, and this repair will be made with concrete instead of asphalt. To complete this project, Lake Summerset Road will be closed at Tamarack Park on Monday, October 19th from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Local EMS, Fire, Police and Durand Schools have been informed of the closure. Thanks again for your patience as we complete this year’s road improvements.
Volunteer of the Year Award – We are very appreciative of all our volunteers, and we’d be in bad shape without them. I can’t express my gratitude to the volunteers we have here at Lake Summerset and we’re very fortunate to have so many who are willing to donate their time and efforts for the betterment of our community. Once a year we recognize the efforts and contributions of a volunteer with the Jack Walsh Volunteer of the year award. If you know a volunteer serving on a Committee or a Club who you would like to nominate for this award, please refer to section 1, page 6 of the October Lake Summerset News. Last year’s award went to Mr. Dave Dini and this year’s winner will be announced and recognized during the 2026 Annual Meeting in December.
Household Data Sheets – Be on the lookout for a piece of mail from the Association as the data sheets for 2027 were mailed to all members today. The documents in the mailer need to be confirmed or updated and should be returned to the office no later than December 15, 2026. Providing this information helps us to provide the best service possible to our Property Owners and your guests.
