Good afternoon,

Road Construction Update:

Pier Drive Bridge Construction – I’m glad to report that Helm is progressing very well on the Pier Drive Bridge renovation. As you know, Pier Drive behind the dam is currently closed to all traffic but Helm has advised that they expect to complete the project next week. Once they complete work, you will be advised in an eblast when Pier Dr. will reopen.

Members will be able to access the Camper Storage area from Lake Summerset Road near the Operations building, and you will be able to access the Marina and the Boat storage area by using Pier Drive from the north.

Culvert Replacements – Sjostrom will start their third week replacing the crossroad culverts and they too are making great progress. They’re over halfway done and below is a schedule of road closures for this coming week.

Monday, 9/28/26 Paving work – No road closures.

Tuesday, 9/29 Larchmont Rd., east of Edgewood will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 1660 & 1654 will be replaced. This is a one-day job and you’ll be able to avoid the construction area by using Edgewood Dr.

Wednesday, 9/30 Knollwood Rd. will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 596 & 645 will be replaced. This will be a one-day job and you can avoid the construction zone by using Lake Summerset Rd.

Thursday, 10/1 Orleans Drive will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 409 & 385 will be replaced. This is a one-day job, and you can avoid the area by taking Lake Summerset Rd. to Lockwood or Corkhill.

Friday, 10/2 Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed while the culvert spanning the road between 2266 and Tamarack Park is replaced. This is a one-day job. For those who live on Lake Summerset Rd. west of Tamarack Park, please enter via the west gate.

If weather causes a delay in the construction, an eblast will be sent advising you of the changes.

Marina’s - This is a reminder that all boats docked in the main Marina or the Southgate marina must be removed from the water no later than Thursday, October 1st.

Fish Restocking - For all those interested, you are welcome to join the LSA Fish Club at Juniper Park to observe this year’s Walleye restocking. The restocking will be held between 9am and 10am on Tuesday, September 29th. We will be introducing approximately 3,000 walleye in the 6” – 8” size range.

Hope to see you at Southgate Thursday morning.

Mandatory Mowing – The final lawn inspection for the year will be performed on Thursday, October 1st. Please take the appropriate steps to have your lot(s) mowed no later than Wednesday, September 30th to avoid a $150 fine.

Thanks,

Mike
