Here’s a few announcements as we head into the weekend and next week.
Pier Drive Bridge Construction – Helm advised me yesterday that the Pier Drive Bridge renovation will begin Tuesday, September 15th starting at 8:00am. During construction, Pier Drive behind the dam will be closed to all through traffic. During this time, you will need to use Best Road to avoid the construction area.
You will be able to access the Camper Storage area from Lake Summerset Road near the Operations building, and you will be able to access the Marina and the Boat storage area by using Pier Drive from the north.
Culvert Replacements – Sjostrom started the Culvert Replacement project this past week. In all, 13 crossroad culverts will be replaced, and work will continue this week. Below is a schedule of road closures for this coming week.
Monday, 9/14/26 Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 219 & 257 will be replaced. Work will begin at 8:00am and it will be finished by the end of the day. A detour using Forestcliff and Wickshire Dr. will be available to those traveling in the area.
Tuesday, 9/15/26 Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 1050 & 921 will be replaced. This too is a one-day job, and you’ll be able to avoid the construction area by using Southgate Drive.
Wednesday, 9/16 and Thursday, 9/17 Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed as the culvert spanning the road between 2312 & 2313 will be replaced. This will be a two-day job, and you can avoid the construction zone by using Drexel Rd. or Breckenboro Drive.
Friday, 9/18 thru Monday, 9/21 Lake Summerset Rd. will be closed while the culvert spanning the road between 908 & 1065 is replaced. This job will begin on Friday and end on Monday afternoon. Suggested alternate routes are to use Breckenboro Drive or Drexel Road.
If weather causes a delay in the construction, an eblast will be sent advising you of the changes.
Bingo Night Tonight – Join us at the lodge tonight starting at 6:30pm. Popcorn and refreshments will be served.
