KNOW A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
OR HAVE ANOTHER SKILL?
The GMAR is collecting information on the unique skills our members have. We often get calls from the public asking for REALTORS® that speak specific languages, know sign language, etc., and having a list will help us give them options. Below are some ideas of what we are looking for to get you started:
Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi,
Arabic, ASL, French, Hmong, etc.
If you would like to be added to our list, please email Michelle Kohn and let her know what unique skills you have!
REALTORS® are members of the National Association of REALTORS® and abide by a Code of Ethics that goes beyond the federal Fair Housing Act by expressly prohibiting discrimination against LGBTQ+ consumers. This commitment extends to all our behaviors as REALTORS® and to our advocacy on Capitol Hill. We believe that all properties should be open to all and feel welcome to all because pride has a home here.
JUNE IS NATIONAL HOMEOWNERSHIP MONTH
During Homeownership Month, NAR is sharing how REALTORS® help the millions of Americans who aspire to join the nation's 83 million property owners.
Homeownership builds financial security. With 65.5% of Americans owning homes, the net worth of a typical homeowner is nearly 40 times the net worth of a non-owner.

The total value of owner-occupied housing rose by $8.2 trillion in the last decade and the number of middle-income homeowners increased by nearly one million. The typical homeowner has accumulated more than $200,000 in housing wealth due to price appreciation.

However, a historic 50-year record shortage of affordable homes available for purchase has severely limited access to the residential real estate market.
Enabling more households to achieve sustainable homeownership earlier in life and to maintain that ownership throughout life is crucial to narrowing the racial homeownership and housing wealth gaps.

  • It’s a HUD-funded program that can be used as a stand-alone option or layered with other grant programs. It can be used on secondary market loans as well as with “in-house” loans.
  • The borrower applies for first mortgage financing from a participating lender. The lender reserves funds from Waukesha County.

When school is out, kids miss meals. With more than 180,000 Wisconsin children struggling with hunger each day, the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation (WRF) is ready to help this summer break.

Usually, $1 donates 3 meals. However, during the WRF's Team Up Against Hunger week of June 20-24, 2022, the WRF will double-match every donation of $50 or more.

Your donation of $50 during that week turns into $100, or 300 meals. If you want to give more, we will match that too. If you want to give less, that's okay - every dollar matters! Click Here To Donate
