Fall is here! Business is slowing down as the temperature drops, but there still is demand out there.
I hope you were able to take advantage of the WRA Convention that just wrapped up on Tuesday in the Wisconsin Dells. WRA always does a great job and seeing fellow REALTORS® from around the state is always fun!
As the year winds down in the coming weeks and months, it’s time to start prepping and planning for next year. Get ahead of the game:

Pay your 2023 dues before October 31st to get $25 off, and remember to keep your RPAC contribution on it.

Register to take your CE classes soon. The deadline is December 14th to renew your license.
- Start thinking about next year’s business/marketing plan.
Starting this Sunday, October 9th, the GMAR Board of Directors election will run for one week. You will receive a unique link to cast your ballot a few days ahead of time. Make sure you vote!
Finally, get out and enjoy the fall weather, and there is no better way than to go apple picking!

The GMAR Director Election will start Sunday, October 9, 2022. A link and directions to vote online will be emailed to all eligible GMAR members on Sunday. You will be able to vote from Sunday, October 9 through Saturday, October 15. You will be asked to vote for four (4) Directors, who will fill a three-year term.

Thank you for your membership in the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS® this past year.
Your dues statement for 2023 will arrive in the mail very soon if it hasn't already. Beginning September 1st, you may pay your dues online. To continue your membership with the GMAR, WRA and NAR, and to avoid any interruption in service, please note the following payment deadlines:

Pay by October 31, 2022 - You can DEDUCT $25 from the total on your invoice.

Between November 1 and 30, 2022 - Please pay the total shown on your invoice.

Between December 1 and 31, 2022 - Please ADD $50 to the total shown on your invoice.
-
After January 1, 2023 - We must treat you as a new member, please ADD $225 to the total on your invoice (if you are a REALTOR® member) or $345 (if you are a Designated REALTOR® member).
In 2022 we will continue to pursue our mission of "Helping our members help their clients" through our core services of government affairs, professional standards, and MLS services.

The Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation (WRF) unifies REALTORS® to help children in the areas of education, hunger, homelessness/abuse, and serious illness.
- Raised more than 636,928 meals for Feeding Wisconsin.
- Packaged over 690 backpacks for kids in the greater Milwaukee area to take home over the 2022 spring break.
- Volunteered more than 700 hours at local food banks and pantries.
- Donated more than 1,100 bags and books for Wisconsin children in crisis.
- Gave over $2,000 for tornado disaster relief.
WRF chairman Mike Spranger encourages every member to keep the voluntary $20 contribution to the WRF on the dues statement so REALTOR® relief efforts like these can continue.

SENTRILOCK SECURITY UPDATE |
|
Protecting our member's data is extremely important to us. That's why, effective Tuesday, October 18, 2022, SentriLock is implementing an extra layer of security to the SentriKey® Real Estate website and mobile app. Users will be asked to establish security questions and verify their cell phones. SentriLock will be emailing your members on October 13, 2022 notifying them of this security update.
Security questions will offer a secure validation of their account in addition to their PIN. Users will select from 10 predetermined questions and enter their personalized answers. Once those answers are saved, a cell phone verification prompt will be activated.
Customer Support will use these questions to validate the user's identity if they cannot remember their PIN or password. This will provide them with a faster, more efficient experience and eliminate the need for a PIN/Password reset email.
Users will have a 14-day grace period to establish their security questions. After the 14-days, users must initiate the security questions or they will not be able to access the SentriKey® Real Estate® website or app. A reminder email will be sent to your members to add the security questions to the SentriKey Real Estate website or app so they do not lose access.

As a real estate professional, RPAC is your PAC. It is also the real estate industry's vehicle for political success. REALTOR® volunteers raise contributions from other members across the state. These funds are then pooled together and contributed on a nonpartisan basis to public office candidates who support housing and real estate interests.
RPAC Facts:
- All fundraising efforts and contributions to candidates are administered by a board of RPAC trustees, representing each local board and all areas of the state. Decisions made by the trustees are submitted to the WRA board of directors.

Funds are disbursed on a nonpartisan basis to Democrats and Republicans alike, based on issues and support of the REALTOR® legislative agenda.
- RPAC is one of the largest trade-association PACs in the world and in Wisconsin.
