Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station – serving residents of Northern Virginia for over 50 years.

After 43 years of managing the Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station apartments, Loretta Horn is enjoying a well – deserved retirement. Loretta saw many changes in the property since it opened in 1968, including upgrades, not just to the units but to the grounds.

Carlos Almonte, the new property manager knows he has big shoes to fill, but is up to the task. With ten years’ experience in property management, Carlos jumped at the chance to manage a property in Merrifield. Carlos, far right, is pictured here with some of his team members.
Merrifield at Dunn Loring is a long time GMBA member and it is time to spotlight them for their valuable role in the community in providing spacious, value-driven housing to Northern Virginia residents.

Some of the features at the beautifully renovated apartment complex are:

• One-, two-, and three-bedroom units complete with private balcony or patio
• Custom kitchen cabinets, wood-style plank tile flooring, and stainless-steel
appliances
Walkable to Dunn Loring Metro Station and Halstead where shuttles are
available to the Mosaic District and Merrifield Town Center
• Fitness Center
    Two recently repaved tennis courts
     Basketball and sand volleyball courts
     Picnic Area and Playgrounds
    Sparkling Swimming Pool
Thirty-five (35) acres of landscaped grounds
    Pets are welcome
Recently the owners increased the types of breeds of dogs who are welcome. They now follow Fairfax County guidelines allowing breeds that were previously restricted.
They are amid constructing a state-of-the-art clubhouse, expected to break ground by late July.

If you or someone you know is looking for a convenient, value-driven housing option, send them the link to view available apartments and tell them that they were referred by GMBA.

GMBA salutes this long-time member and we look forward to getting to know Carlos better.
