Merced Family Medicine Residency Program receives a $225,000 grant from CalMedForce!
CalMedForce is a program committed to growing a diverse physician workforce by supporting, incentivizing and expanding graduate medical education (GME) in California. CalMedForce was developed by Physicians for a Healthy California ( PHC), the charitable arm of the California Medical Association (CMA), in partnership with the University of California to provide expertise and guidance regarding the Prop. 56 funded GME program.

PHC announced last week that more than $38 million in new state tobacco tax revenues have been awarded to GME programs across the state to fund 156 slots for physician residencies. The first CalMedForce grants will help address the state’s physician shortage, particularly in underserved communities where patients often lack access to timely and quality health care. More...

PAVE 101 Training Webinar February 21, 2019
The Medi-Cal Provider Enrollment Division (PED) recently announced that it will no longer accept paper enrollment forms, effective March 5, 2019. Medi-Cal enrollment applications and forms will move entirely to the e-form application process through the California Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) Provider Application and Validation for Enrollment ( PAVE ) portal. With this deadline approaching, DHCS has scheduled an additional PAVE 101 training on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 12-2 p.m to ensure users are prepared to begin using the online enrollment process.
