As the end of year draws near we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for an amazing year.

The success of General Monitoring Services is based on the relationships we have built over the years, and we really wouldn’t be where we are without you.

Over this past year, we have added additional staff members, brought on new services, and focused on how we can better serve all our valued dealer partners not only from a customer service stand point but also focusing on our technology offerings.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work with, and for you. Our passion for helping our dealer partners and industry associates gain success is always increasing due to you.

This year has been filled with a multitude of both challenges and victories for everyone. Every year is different but this one has been filled with many challenges and changes we believe for all of us more than normal. Our industry overall is constantly changing and evolving quickly. It has been reassuring to see how our own staff has risen to meet every challenge, while always looking out for all our dealer partners and their valued clients.

As the end of year approaches, we know there will be many challenges ahead. But we are so excited for all that 2020 has in store for us – enthusiasm and anticipation are building around new opportunities for all of us.

We will be rolling out many new services in 2020 and have great expectations for a great new year.

Working together this past year has been a pleasure and we’re honored to be of service to you. Best wishes and happiness to you and your families over the upcoming holiday season. We look forward to a successful 2020 working together!

From the whole team at GMS - General Monitoring Services, Inc.

December is Universal Human Rights Month
Did you know that December is Universal Human Rights Month? Universal Human Rights Month is an annual designation observed each December. This month and every month to follow, people all across the globe are encouraged to come together and stand up for equality, justice, and the dignity of all humans. December is a time to honor the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, an international document stating the basic rights and fundamental freedoms to which all human beings are entitled. These rights include freedom from discrimination, the right to equality, and the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.

What can you do?
  • Learn about other cultures

  • Find common ground with those who may not have the same background

  • Go out of your way to treat everyone with respect, kindness, and equality

  • Advocate for human rights
December Tip of the Month - Wellness: Healthy Eating
Amid the holiday gatherings, it helps to remember some healthy eating tips to manage all of the delectable temptations. Here are a few of our favorite holiday eating tips to take you into 2020!

  • Don’t diet during the holidays. Set a goal to maintain your present weight.

  • Choose what you eat carefully, eat slowly, and savor every bite.

  • Alcohol is packed with calories, so if you indulge, do so wisely.

  • Offer to bring a low-calorie dish to gatherings so you know that there will be at least one “safe” item.

  • Exercise even if you’re on vacation.

  • Don’t go to a party hungry. Eat a healthy meal or snack before the event.

  • Keep portions small.

  • Use small plates.

  • Don’t let a hectic holiday schedule force you into eating fast food. Plan ahead for success and carry healthy snacks.

  • Use low calorie and reduced fat items where possible.
