Construction of Twelve (12) Units of Multi-Family Housing
Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (MassDevelopment) is seeking a qualified developer to build twelve units of multi-family housing or connected townhomes on two acres of vacant, residentially-zoned land in Devens, MA. MassDevelopment invites interested parties (“Respondents”) to respond to MassDevelopment’s RFP (available here) detailing their proposed development plan, outlining how the proposal will benefit the surrounding area, and providing a financial analysis that identifies funding sources as well as financial assistance that the Commonwealth, the Agency, or another entity could provide. Responses are due by 5:00 p.m. on July 21, 2022.
Installation of an Active Sub-Slab Depressurization System (SSDS)
Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (MassDevelopment) is soliciting proposals from respondents for the installation of an active sub-slab depressurization system (SSDS) in a portion of the basement in the building located at 526 – 538 Main St., Worcester, MA. Work includes the installation of two additional active SSD systems beneath a portion of the subject building basement floor. The systems will vent above the building roof level similar to two existing SSD systems that were installed at the Site in 2021 and will include new electrical connections for the SSD system fans. The active SSD systems installation is “performance-based” and must be consistent with MassDEP’s Recommended Specifications for the Design and Construction of SSD Systems, as referenced in MassDEP’s Vapor Intrusion Guidance: Site Assessment, Mitigation and Closure document (Policy #WSC-16-435). The project also involves proper handling/abatement of asbestos-containing building materials, the proper handling and disposal of a limited volume of contaminated soils (classified as a hazardous waste), minor modifications and enhancements to the existing SSD systems, and resealing of concrete floor.
