A TALE OF TWO EMAILS...

OR, YOU KNOW, 450K. 

We register Democrats in every possible way, and a few impossible ones too. Email winds up being one of the most cost-effective, valuable ways of registering new Democrats and getting out the vote. Here’s a behind-the-scenes effort that was so huge we thought it should not remain behind the scenes.

When we get a new donation we move with the quickness and put it straight into the field. Late-breaking donations (Thank you for those!) are exactly why yesterday, we were able to send voter registration emails to 250,000 unregistered, likely Dems in NC, WI and key swing districts in CA and MI.

Then we sent another 200,000 GOTV emails to Democratic voters we helped register across all 9 of our target states. That final touch is often what gets people to the polls.

So yes, in total we sent out 450,000 emails yesterday. That’s a great day!! Thank you to every single donor for making that possible!

We've often given shout-outs to our amazing Social Stormers. They're a feisty, dedicated bunch. Creative, too! But right now, we need to shout even louder... like, hoarse-for-a-week-after kind of shout.

That means our pro-Democracy messages and calls to action (help register more Democrats in swing states, yo) are getting out there and being seen. It's the kind of online wave-making that leads to a Blue Tsunami! So—in the shoutiest of shouty voices—thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! 

With mere days to the midterms, let's continue to flood Twitter with messages about voting, early voting, same day registration, RideShare2Vote, protecting abortion rights, Blue Voter Guide... all of it!

Text North Carolina & Michigan: Thursday November 3, 12-2p PT/3-5p ET (w/New North Carolina Project & The Union) In North Carolina, you can register and vote during early voting all the way up until 11/5 and in Michigan, which has 3 key swing House districts, you can register all the way up 'til close of polls. Let's get it done!

Text CA-41 (Rollins), CA-45 (Chen), CA-47 (Porter): Friday November 4, 10a-12p PT/1-3p ET (w/the Will Rollins campaign, The Union, and Fearless Action). California swing districts are crucial to holding onto our House majority. Will Rollins, Jay Chen and Katie Porter (along with her whiteboard of justice) are great bets to do just that, but they need our help. Texting likely Dems in their districts days before the election is huge!

Each of these is a superfast textbank using the Spoke Rewired platform! You'll be reaching out to eligible voters with a new, fine-tuned message about abortion rights and inflation, and this surge of outreach could be what wins us these districts!

KNOCK KNOCK. WHO'S THERE? DEMOCRACY, JANE FONDA, AND YOU!

Save our democracy and hobnob with the brightest lights in entertainment and politics? Yes, you can! Join us in Hungtington Beach, Saturday, November 5 from 12-3p PT to knock on doors and Get Out The Vote for the amazing Congresswoman Katie Porter, as well as Dems up and down the ballot.

And did we mention the hobnobbing? ‘Cause kicking off the canvass will be Jane Fonda and Congresswoman Katie Porter herself!

And Field Team 6 Founder Jason Berlin will be there to canvass too!

Never canvassed for a political campaign before? No problem! The Katie Porter campaign starts all their canvass shifts with a training, so you’ll feel comfortable and confident. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a charged-up smartphone with the PDI Mobile app downloaded in advance. AT MESSAGING! REALLY!

There’s just one reason Field Team 6 is at the cutting edge of making sure all of our messaging (on social media, in our newsletter, on our website, in target ads, in our text and phone bank and postcard scripts, etc.) is up to the minute and the most effective it can be: Patti Crane. 

Not only is Patti an essential part of our volunteer steering committee, she sits in on literally dozens of calls a week with messaging groups and gurus at the front lines of changing this old saw that Democrats are @#$! at messaging. She then cooks it all down into a fine roux and passes it along in a way that is useful.

In all of her spare time, she runs GrassrootsMessagingWorks.org, creating social media toolkits to change the conversation out there in the zeitgeist and make sure progressives are aware that it is not Ds vs. Rs, it is democracy vs. autocracy on the line. Clearly Biden and Obama are paying attention!
